Privacy Policy
Service AI, Inc. ("Service AI," "we") builds an AI marketing employee for restaurants. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Heads up: This is a starter policy maintained by the Service AI team. Have your privacy counsel review before you rely on it for a live business.
What we collect
- Account info — name, business name, email, phone.
- Restaurant context — the restaurant URL, menu, location, and anything you paste into the product.
- Publicly available data — reviews, listings, and web content about your restaurant that we read on your behalf.
- Connected account data — with your permission, content and metadata from platforms like Instagram, Google Business, and review sites.
- Usage data — logs, device info, IP, and product analytics.
- Payment info — processed by our payment provider; we store only the last 4 digits and billing metadata.
How we use it
To provide the Services, generate briefs and tickets, personalize output to your restaurant, send transactional and product email, prevent fraud, comply with law, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
AI and training
We use large language and vision models to generate Output. We do not use your private restaurant data to train third-party foundation models. Prompts and outputs may be processed by model providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) under their enterprise terms with zero-retention or short retention settings where available.
Sharing
We share information only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, analytics, email, payments, model APIs).
- Platforms you explicitly connect (e.g. Instagram, Google Business).
- Legal or safety recipients when required by law.
- An acquirer, in the event of a merger or sale, subject to this policy.
Retention
We keep account and restaurant data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation to satisfy legal and operational needs. You can request deletion earlier — see "Your rights" below.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we ask you to help by using a strong, unique password.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. Email privacy@service.ai to exercise any of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Children
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International users
Our Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from outside the US, you understand your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Services or by email.
